BraneStorm is a collaborative science fiction world building project. Using a Wiki platform volunteers from all around the world can contribute in building various science fiction worlds. All forms of contribution is accepted including artwork, ideas, narratives, games. Various tools and templates will be made available to facilitate in the world building.

BraneStorm is not a Fan Fiction site. That is everything posted on BraneStorm should be original work. Work inspired by existing fictional universes is ok but do not add details that are specific to existing fictional worlds. Such information will be deleted.

Currently BraneStorm is in "obscurity" beta. That is while the website is live I have not established any incoming links or advertised it's existence. For the most part users will be personally invited guests.

BraneStorm is a personal project of Jayson Harshbarger of Torrance, CA. Any advertising revenue, affiliate link revenue, or donations will be withdrawn by Jayson Harshbarger in compensation for hosting fees and time contributed. Other arrangements may be considered in the future.

Technology

The current implementations is powered by MediaWiki (the same engine that runs Wikipedia) and Semantic MediaWiki. Other wiki systems may be considered before initial release. [ more ]
